NOVA: Development Assistant


NOVA is a comprehensive victim services organization in Bucks County. With a 48-year history, NOVA has expanded to include a continuum of prevention and direct services to prevent and address the needs of victims of sexual abuse and other serious crimes. NOVA is known across many disciplines and the community at large for its exceptional services and professionalism. As a mature and fiscally sound organization, establishing sustainability is key to our future success — serving all victims who need assistance, educating the community at large on violence prevention in our community, and providing top-ranked professional training.


Full-time Development Assistant will report to the Director of Development. Needs to take ownership to complete all administrative tasks related to fundraising, grants management, and donor recognition activities. The Development Assistant is the primary person responsible for achieving and maintaining database integrity and use, including reporting, for the annual fund, major and planned gifts, marketing, and fundraising events. The Development Assistant is a part of a high-performing team that together implements a comprehensive development program for the organization.

Qualifications include:

  • Commitment to NOVA’s mission and philosophy.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent of training, education, and/or experience.
  • A minimum of three years of experience managing a donor database is required, Raiser’s Edge preferred.
  • A passion for organization, attention to detail and administrative excellence..
  • Ability to communicate with diverse groups including staff, community professionals, volunteers, Board members, funders, and donors.
  • Demonstrated experience as a team player.
  • Ability to work independently on multiple tasks and manage your own time efficiently with limited supervision.
  • Meet all required clearances for employment (e.g., IRCA, Criminal Record Check, Bonding, etc.).
  • SAC training certificate or must attend the 40-hour Sexual Assault Counselor Training at NOVA within 6-months post-hire.
