Prevention & Outreach Specialist – Full-time, non-exempt

The Prevention & Outreach Specialist works to address the root causes of sexual violence and assists community members in finding ways they can contribute to SARCC’s mission to prevent sexual violence and promote healing for those impacted. The desired candidate will coordinate and implement prevention programming in settings such as, but not limited to, community centers, businesses, schools and other human service agencies.

SARCC is an established and respected social services organization, providing counseling to survivors of sexual violence and prevention education to the community. The Prevention and Outreach Specialist will assist SARCC staff in implementing programs with children, families, and professionals in the community using evidence-based and informed prevention programs and strategies.

Successful candidate should have excellent communication skills, experience in facilitation/conflict management, commitment to social change, and creativity. Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. A 45-hour Sexual Assault Counselor Training, plus additional training in curricula used in prevention programming must be completed within 2 months of hiring. All training will during work hours and will be provided by the agency.
