Shelter Counselor/Advocate (2nd shift, F/T)
Established non-profit, human service organization seeks outcomes driven, positive individuals with a passion for providing counseling and advocacy for victims/survivors of domestic and/or sexual violence.
The successful applicants will possess experience and documented achievements in their work with diverse individuals who have experienced abuse and trauma, and the ability to manage crises with adults and children.
Applicants must possess the ability to work within a residential/shelter setting with families in crisis and be able to work independently within established professional, and ethical boundaries. They must demonstrate strong decision-making and conflict resolution skills Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred and life experience is respected. Must complete a required 69-hour crisis intervention training.
