Anti-Human Trafficking Community Advocate
The YWCA Greater Harrisburg, a leading provider of human trafficking services in Pennsylvania, is seeking a compassionate, organized and reliable individual with a high level of self-awareness and emotional intelligence to help facilitate its anti-human trafficking project, PAATH15. PAATH15 is a 12-county collaborative project covering 8,400 sq. miles in PA, focused on enhancing victim services, inter-agency collaboration, along with training and awareness of trafficking along Route 15 in PA. The Anti-Human Trafficking Community Advocate will work directly with the YWCA's PAATH15 project, serving as the project liaison with community partners and sub-grantees.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain collaborations and networks within the community to improve responses to human trafficking
- Attend area human trafficking task force meetings across the PAATH15 service territory
- Provide outreach, awareness and technical assistance to community agencies
- Collect, organize and record data for all project activities to assess and report on project and goal progress
- Screen potential clients to determine program eligibility
- Provide crisis response and advocacy services to all victims served under the project as needed
- Assist with implementing and analyzing action research related to the quality of victim services provided; recommending action plans for improvements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Human Services, Psychology, or related field and two years' of related work experience preferred
- Experience in building collaborations, partnerships and networking in the community required
- Experience working with victims of crime required. Human trafficking experience preferred
- Prior project coordination or project management experience required
- Prior experience in law enforcement, legal systems, probation/parole, victim services, or legal services a PLUS
Other Qualifications:
Excellent public speaking and communication skills (both verbal and written), professional demeanor, ability to multi-task and function with minimal supervision, willing to work non-traditional hours. Knowledge of human trafficking victimization and local resources required; ability to travel within the PAATH15 service territory (Dauphin, Cumberland, York, Perry, Adams, Franklin, Snyder, Union, Northumberland, Lycoming, Tioga and Bradford Counties.)

Pay: $34,000.00 per year
