Child Visitation Monitor

Are you looking for a position where you can make a difference in the lives of children and families within our community? The YWCA's Visitation Center provides opportunities for parents and children to re-establish positive relationships in a safe, family friendly environment when parenting time has been disrupted.

As a Supervised Child Visitation Monitor, you will be responsible for:

  • Observation/supervision of child/parent visits, and recording notes of the visit that document behaviors, interactions, activities, etc.
  • Preparing reports for case workers
  • Providing support and guidance for the parent/child
  • Creating a safe and positive environment for the visitation
  • Collecting and maintaining statistical data
  • Administrative support including case note reviews, preparation for monitoring visits, file maintenance and other duties

Candidates must be able to demonstrate successful history of:

  • Working in a team environment
  • Promoting an inclusive, positive workplace

Candidates should be experienced in:

  • Crisis intervention
  • De-escalation
  • Trauma-informed care
  • Multi-tasking
  • Working independently
  • Microsoft Word and other Microsoft software (proficient level)

Experience with domestic violence/sexual assault victims a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $34,000.00 per year

Experience:

  • Social work: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Office: 2 years (Required)
