Alice Paul House is a comprehensive victim service program located in Indiana, PA.  We provide services to victims/survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, other crime and juvenile offenders. 

 Direct Service Assistant: Full Time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide crisis intervention, accompaniment, and advocacy to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, all crimes and victims of juvenile offenders as well as significant others
  • Trauma-focused empowerment individual and group counseling/advocacy
  • Complete daily crisis card tracking and monthly statistics
  • Greet clients and visitors, respond to inquiries, and direct them to appropriate staff or services.
  • Manage and maintain filing systems (electronic and paper-based), including confidential client records.
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, and coordinate calendars for staff.
  • Prepare reports, letters, memos, and other documents as requested.
  • Enter and maintain data in case management systems and databases.
  • Assist with intake processes by collecting and organizing client documentation.
  • Assist Fiscal Department with tracking and ordering office supplies and materials needed for daily operations.
  • Support the preparation and submission of grant applications and reports.
  • Provide administrative assistance in organizing community outreach events or program activities.
  • Assist Fiscal Department with incoming and outgoing mail, email, and phone communication.
  • This position directly supports management
 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or higher in human services, business administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous administrative or office support experience, preferably in a nonprofit or social services setting.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database systems.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Compassionate, client-focused, and culturally sensitive.
