Mandated Reporting of Child Abuse & Neglect: Training of Trainers

Tuesday, February 8, 2022 - 1:00pm to Thursday, February 10, 2022 - 4:30pm
Description: The safety, health and protection of children is everyone's responsibility. It is essential to shift focus on the role and responsibility that adult bystanders play in the prevention, protection, and intervention of child abuse.

This training will provide participants with information on the role and legal responsibilities under the PA Child Protective Services Law as well discuss complexity of the dynamics of child abuse. During this three-day training, participants will have the opportunity to observe and then model the Mandated Reporter Training Curriculum. Upon completion, participants will be approved trainers of this curriculum once the training is completed. This opportunity is designed to help PCAR center staff focus on the importance of replicating mandated reporter trainings in their own agency and their communities.
