Adams County Sexual Assault Services receives Adams County Community Foundations Grant

Adams County Sexual Assault Services is honored to be the recipient of the Adams County Community Foundations Grant. We are delighted with the acknowledgment of our commitment to the community and will use the funds to maximize our efforts of service.

Adams County Sexual Assault Services opened in January 2021, providing direct services and outreach to Adams County. To survivors of sexual and other violence, ACSAS provides a 24-hour hotline, crisis counseling, medical accompaniment and advocacy, legal accompaniment and advocacy, case management, and information and referral services, all from a trauma-informed perspective. In addition to these services, ACSAS engages in community outreach, education and awareness activities, and prevention programming. Adams County Sexual Assault Services is a non-profit that is currently being supported in part by the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape (PCAR) while it transitions to full independent non-profit status.

The Adams County Community Foundation was created to promote and facilitate charitable giving and to build a permanent civic endowment for Adams County. While the Community Foundation’s Adams County Grants are focused locally, the Community Foundation also provides a home for charitable funds created by donors which may make grants anywhere in Pennsylvania or across the country. The Adams County Community Foundation works to inspire people and communities to build and distribute charitable funds that will benefit Adams County for generations.

Adams County Sexual Assault Services is tremendously gracious for the opportunity awarded to us through the Community Foundation and honored to further show our commitment to a safer Adams County.
