Parents in the Know is a practice-based child sexual abuse prevention program developed by Pittsburgh Action Against Rape (PAAR) with funding from PCAR. It is PAAR's hope that Parents in the Know helps attendees reach more parents, build new partnerships, find strength and support within your communities, and that it validates what you are doing and how well you are doing it.
This training is open to PA Sexual Assault Center staff and coalition staff. It is most appropriate for prevention educators and direct service staff.
Due to the demand for this training and the limited space, we are asking one person per center to sign up. Centers that currently have no staff trained in PITK will be prioritized. Attending center staff will then be able to train their colleagues in PITK.
