Advocacy Skills Series - Ethical Considerations for Advocates

This two-part interactive training is designed for sexual assault advocates who want to deepen their understanding of ethical practice and strengthen their competence when working across diverse backgrounds. Participants will explore the NASW Code of Ethics and its application to real-world advocacy dilemmas, engaging in practical exercises to apply ethical principles to complex situations.

The training will also examine ethical decision-making models that address biases related to background, promote self-awareness, and reduce emotional reactivity. Through an equity-focused approach, participants will learn responsive strategies to navigate ethical dilemmas and provide inclusive, survivor-centered support.
