Resources developed by PCAR to support advocates, rape crisis center staffs and other partners in their policy advocacy efforts.
Criminal cases are filed by the state and must be proven beyond a reasonable doubt. Convicted offenders may face incarceration, fines or both.
Age and experience create a power imbalance that makes it impossible for the younger person to freely give consent.
Protecting children is the responsibility of us all. Anybody who suspects that a child is being hurt, has the right to report that suspicion.
The Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape presents policy recommendations, informed by survivors, service providers and the general public, to the PCAR Board for official endorsement.
PCAR promotes public policies that provide protections and services to victims of sexual violence, hold offenders accountable and enhance community safety at the state and federal levels.
PCAR advocates for changes in federal and state legislation to further our goal of ending sexual violence in our communities.
